A young Leeds United side is set to take on Newport AFC on Friday (7.30pm).

Neil Thompson takes a squad consisting of young professionals and scholars to Newport Stadium for a pre-season game against The Exiles.

Two trialists have also remained with the squad, following the midweek defeat at Forest Green Rovers, and Tom Beane and Davide Somma will both be looking for another chance to impress on Friday.

Paul Huntington and Alan Sheehan had joined the squad for the Forest Green game, but they have now re-joined the senior squad at Thorp Arch ahead of the weekend trip to Burnley.

Leeds won 1-0 at Newport at the same stage last pre-season.
