New Leeds United signing Patrick Kisnorbo is looking forward to his Elland Road baptism this weekend.

The Australian international will make his debut against Blackburn Rovers as United's pre-season preparations move up a level against Premier League opponents.

Patrick joined his new team-mates for the first time on Thursday morning at Thorp Arch, and will be joined in the home debut stakes by Shane Higgs and Jason Crowe on Saturday (3pm).

"I'm looking forward to Saturday," said Patrick.

"It should be a great test for us against Premier League opposition.

"It's all about getting belief and being able to take things forward into the new season.

"We've got three good games coming now against good opposition and that'll be important for us.

"Our first game is against Exeter, and you are always guaranteed a hard game to start the season."
