Leeds United squad at LBA United manager Simon Grayson will again utilise his full squad for Tuesday's pre-season friendly clash with Shelbourne.

The boss plans to use 22 players in the opening game of the Irish tour, and will again field a different XI in each half of the game.

Goalkeeper Shane Higgs is the only expected absentee after picking up a knock in training on Tuesday morning, while Mike Grella and Alan Sheehan will figure for the first time this summer.

"We had a hard session on Tuesday morning, and given that the players have been doing double sessions every day, the game on Tuesday night is another addition to our schedule," said the boss.

"We want to get the players up to speed more with passing and sharpness. Regardless of the score, it's about getting people through the game and looking to step up.

"We're going to play two teams again for 45 minutes, but we'll differ at the weekend when we go to Glentoran.

"We want everyone getting some football time."

Grayson's 22-man plan will see further appearances for youngsters Aidy White, Tom Elliott, Tom Lees, and Liam Darville against the Shels.

United won a fiery clash last season, and the boss is expecting a competitive work-out this time around.

"I'm sure Shelbourne will respect us as opposition and it will be played in good spirit," he said.

The squad, who are pictured above leaving Leeds Bradford Airport on Monday, were joined by a number of fans en route to Ireland and a healthy following is expected at Tolka Park.

"Wherever we go we have fantastic backing," added the boss.

"The plane was full of Leeds fans and Peter Lorimer and Eddie Gray came over last night with a lot more Leeds fans.

"There'll be a hardcore of Leeds-based fans here plus a lot from Ireland.

"We want to put on a performance and keep looking to improve."
