Highly-rated duo focusing on new season...
United manager Simon Grayson firmly believes that highly-rated duo Fabian Deph and Jermaine Beckford will stay focused on preparing for the new season with Leeds United.
The duo were both handed 45-minute run-outs at York City on Sunday with Jermaine having a first-half strike disallowed for offside.
The club confirmed at the end of last week that approaches had been turned down for both players, and the duo headed off to Ireland on Monday for the club's pre-season tour with the manager more than happy that they remain unaffected by the persistent speculation surrounding their futures.
"They played on Sunday and were on the plane to Ireland with us on Monday," said the manager.
"They are under contract here. It's well documented that we had the bids, but they are our players.
"I've had a chat with them both. I've re-iterated what I expect, but I think they showed that themselves at York. There was no going through the motions for either of them.
"It'll be a group decision if anything changes, but whatever happens it will be the right decision for the club.
"They are both working hard, and they will be fit and ready to go for August 8 - that's all they can do. They will be focused, no doubt about that."
