Striker to undergo hip surgery...
Cardiff City have confirmed that striker Warren Feeney will undergo a hip operation.
The former Leeds Academy striker was strongly linked with an Elland Road return in the media last week, but United manager Simon Grayson refused to comment publicly on any deal.
The manager did confirm he had spoken with Feeney, but added that he was "one of a number of players we have spoken to."
Cardiff City, however, have now confirmed that the player is to undergo immediate surgery on a hip problem.
"Medical staff tell us it's exactly the same problem Roger Johnson had last season," Cardiff's former Leeds chairman Peter Ridsdale told the South Wales Echo.
"Warren is back with us and will have surgery to sort out his hip. He'll be back to 100 per cent in a short time."
