Simon Grayson watches on at Colchester

United manager Simon Grayson is remaining unruffled by the constant speculation surrounding possible incomings and outgoings from Elland Road.

The boss keeps his cards close to his chest regarding any potential moves, but admits the persistent speculation is something of a burden.

"There's been so much speculation," he said. "People have different ideas and sources.

"I can't stop the speculation because we're a big club, and a big attraction, but it can be a burden at times because it misleads people and can unsettle players, but you're never going to stop it.

"Within the four walls of the training ground we know what we want to do.

"I don't take any notice of it because I like to think I'm the one who knows what's going on, but it is something I keep getting asked about.

"At times people are being mislead into thinking we have missed out on several targets, but that isn't the case. I haven't missed out on anybody.

"I'm in talks with a lot of players, clubs, and agents, and if I think it's right I'll do it. Any targets reported I've missed out on that isn't the case.

"We've been linked with a host of players, but I can say that the targets I've been following for this year, we've signed so far."
