Simon Grayson at Thorp Arch

Manager Simon Grayson says he is considering his options as to who will wear the captain's armband in pre-season.

The club's two previous captains - Jonathan Douglas and Frazer Richardson - have both moved on, while Richard Naylor, who skippered the side during Richardson's absence last season, is a fitness doubt for the start of the new campaign.

Having skippered Ipswich and Leeds, last season, Naylor is expected to sport the armband once again, but after undergoing back surgery last week, the manager must keep his options open during the pre-season programme.

"It's something we've got to consider," said the boss.

"Two of the captains from the last couple of seasons have left, and Nayls will miss the pre-season games.

"We'll have a look, but I wouldn't read too much into who is captain for our first game at York.

"There's things to consider, but hopefully Richard Naylor will be fit for the start of the season."
