New signing on his Elland Road switch...
Goalkeeper Shane Higgs says it was a "no-brainer" of a decision when Simon Grayson offered him the chance to join Leeds United.
The Elland Road boss has been on the hunt for an experienced goalkeeper to provide competition for Casper Ankergren and Alan Martin, and described Higgs as "fitting the bill perfectly."
The goalkeeper joins from Cheltenham Town, although he spent six months on loan with Coca-Cola Championship winners Wolves last season.
Shane put pen to paper on Friday afternoon and he said: "I'm delighted. It's a fantastic club which really speaks for itself.
"I spoke to Simon a while ago. He said he was interested and when he asked me to come up it was a no-brainer.
"I was at Wolves last season and that was a very professional environment and it's the same here.
"I'm looking forward to it. Simon has told me the aim is to get up out of this league and I want to play a part in that."
Shane had spent 10 years at Whaddon Road, joining Cheltenham when they were a non-league side in 1999.
"I enjoyed my time at Cheltenham," he added.
"Maybe the club had reached a peak in getting into League One, but I played a part in that."
