The Oval, Glentoran

Irish League champions Glentoran are reporting "interest beyond expectation" for our pre-season trip to The Oval later this month.

The game against Belfast-based Glentoran on Saturday July 18 will be our first game in Northern Ireland since 1982, and a big following is expected for the game.

Leeds fans will be house in the away section at The Oval, and a Glentoran spokesman confirmed: "The reason for this is that the interest created by the fixture has been beyond expectation and that for ease of crowd management, Leeds fans will be housed within the Railway stand/City terrace."

Catering facilities and toilets are of course situated at this end of the ground.

The game is pay on the night, priced at £10 and £7.

Any spectators in Leeds colours who try to gain entry via the home turnstiles will be directed to the Dee St bridge for access.

Travelling fans are advised to park buses, cars etc within the harbour estate. The map below shows the pedestrian route map from the harbour road to the Dee St bridge and the access to the away tunnel (the away terrace is on the left of the stadium on the map below).

All spectators intending to walk from Belfast city centre to the Oval are advised to take the following route: Use the Queen Elizabeth Bridge to cross the Lagan, turn left on to Queens Quay and follow this road. You will pass the Odyssey Complex on your left hand side and the road becomes the Sydenham Road at this point. Follow this road as far as you can, until you reach a roundabout, go straight ahead and across a second mini roundabout and follow the road as it turns right into the Dee St Bridge. As you cross the bridge, steps on the left hand side lead down to the away turnstiles via a covered walkway.

The Oval is approximately two miles from Belfast City Hall.
