United boss gearing up for player return...
United manager Simon Grayson and his staff are putting the final touches to their preparations for the start of pre-season later this week.
The United squad report back to Thorp Arch on Thursday morning for the first day of pre-season training and with the exception of Richard Naylor, who underwent a back operation last week, the manager is expecting a fully-fit squad to return.
"They've had their own programmes for the summer and I'm expecting everyone apart from Richard to be fit and ready to go," said the boss.
"We're all looking forward to getting started again, and the players will have a tough few days ahead of them this week.
"It's typical that the start of pre-season training usually brings out the warmest weather of the year and that looks like being the case again this year!"
Neil Kilkenny has recovered from the ankle injury which led to his early exit from the Play-Off semi-final, Alan Sheehan is fit again, and Paul Huntington and Enoch Showunmi will also be ready to join the squad for a demanding start.
Striker Jermaine Beckford will be back with his team-mates while Jason Crowe will also join up with the squad for the first time.
Media speculation is also rife about the imminent arrival of striker Warren Feeney from Cardiff, but the manager added: "At the moment there's a lot of speculation, but I'm not one for talking about players until there is anything to say."
You can see the players on their first day back exclusively on LUTV on Thursday...
