Leeds United are set to make a first ever trip to face Forest Green Rovers as part of the club's pre-season plans.

A Leeds United XI will travel to the New Lawn to face the Blue Square Premier Division side on Wednesday July 29 (7.45pm).

Forest Green finished 18th in the Blue Square top-flight last season and their side included the league's leading goalscorer Andy Mangan.

The friendly clash with Leeds will be a special occasion for Forest Green chairman Trevor Horsley, who is a lifelong Leeds United fan.

A Leeds United XI will also travel to Wealdstone on Tuesday July 21 (7.45pm). The game was arranged as part of the deal which saw Jermaine Beckford join the club from Wealdstone in 2006.
