Sam Sodje on his Leeds debut

Our former loan defender Sam Sodje says he will be keeping his options open following his departure from Reading.

The Nigerian international, who made seven appearances for Leeds at the end of last season, is out of contract at Reading and is now a free agent.

United manager Simon Grayson has not ruled out making any move for Sodje, but the 30-year-old has reportedly attracted interest from a number of Coca-Cola Championship clubs and says he is considering his options.

"Leeds are a massive club," Sam told the Yorkshire Evening Post

"I didn't realise just how massive they are until I got there. I loved my time up there and I was so disappointed that I couldn't help get them promoted.

"It's a shame to see them where they are.

"I'm a free agent and I'm in a very good position. Will I go back there? I don't know. They are a massive club but I've got a lot of options."
