Chairman expecting business to be done...
Ken Bates is predicting a summer of activity for Leeds United manager Simon Grayson.
It's already been confirmed that Jonathan Douglas and David Lucas will depart, Jermaine Beckford has been transfer listed, and discussions are taking place with out of contract defender Frazer Richardson.
But the Leeds chairman says there will be plenty more activity in the coming weeks, both inbound and outbound.
"There are a lot of discussions are going on with all kinds of players, both in and out," said the chairman.
"I can promise the fans they will see quite a bit of activity over the summer.
"Simon knows exactly who he wants and which positions he wants to strengthen.
"We've got the nucleus of a very good team. It's a question of adding to it rather than re-building."
One of the finds of last summer was South American striker Luciano Becchio, who joined up with the squad during the pre-season tour of Ireland before signing for the club on the eve of the campaign.
And the club's technical director Gwyn Williams has recently returned from another end of season scouting mission in Argentina.
"Gwyn was impressed by the fact the Argentinians attitude and style is most like the English style of play," said the United chairman, who was staying tight-lipped over any further developments from the scouting trip.
