Waiting game for Beckford and Sodje...
Simon Grayson insists he will be taking no risks with injured duo Jermaine Beckford and Sam Sodje.
The duo were both absentees from the side which drew 2-2 at Leyton Orient on Tuesday night - and the manager says he wasn't prepared to gamble on their fitness.
Both players had picked up injuries at Colchester, but Grayson kept his cards close to his chest until the teams were announced at Orient on Tuesday night.
Sodje took a knock in the 1-0 win at Colchester while striker Becks suffered a thigh strain.
"They picked up slight injuries from the weekend and it wasn't worth the risk," said the boss.
"They could have broken down and been out for the rest of season which is a gamble I wasn't prepared to take.
"We have five league games left now and possibly the Play-Offs and we have to look at the bigger picture.
"We also have players who can come in and do a job."
While the duo will be doubtful for the weekend, Fabian Delph is available despite picking up his 10th booking of the season at Orient.
The England under-21 international's suspension doesn't start for seven days, and he will miss the games against Tranmere and Hartlepool.
"We all accepted he would pick up his 10th booking eventually," conceded the boss.
"He's been on it for a while now and he's done well to get this far. He'll learn from thart but it will give someone else an opportunity."
