Leeds United boss Gary McAllister expects to be without Andy Robinson for around a month.
A hamstring injury curtailed the player's involvement in Sunday's FA Cup second round defeat at Histon - he was forced out of the action during the second half - and he now faces the prospect of around four weeks on the sidelines.
The 29-year-old joins leading scorer Jermaine Beckford in the treatment room with the striker facing a similar lay-off after suffering a torn hamstring during the league game at Northampton last week.
The injuries leave the boss with a headache ahead of a month that sees trips Tranmere and MK Dons sandwiched in-between a home game against Colchester United on December 13.
Striker Malcolm Christie is also still sidelined with a rib injury sustained on his debut at Northampton in the FA Cup first round replay last month.
And United will be without midfielder Fabian Delph at Tranmere on Saturday, with the teenager serving a one-match suspension after picking up his fifth booking of the season.
