Alan Sheehan enjoys his goal

United defender Alan Sheehan will miss out on a potential comeback at Peterborough United on Saturday due to injury.

The Irishman is available again after suspension, but a hamstring injury sustained the Monday after his dismissal at Swindon Town will keep him sidelined for a further few days.

While suspension has ruled Alan out of the side for the past three games, Aidy White stepped into the breach for the league games against Carlisle and Hereford, while Ben Parker took over the left-back role against Hartlepool in the Carling Cup.

Both players will travel to Peterborough this weekend with Gary Mac's squad.

The boss has no other injury worries ahead of the game and will be selecting from strength for the first ever league meeting between the two clubs.
