Neil Kilkenny celebrates at Swindon

Aussie midfielder Neil Kilkenny applauded the "big hearts" shown by Leeds United at Swindon Town on Saturday.

Killa scored his first goal of the season as United recovered from the early dismissal of Alan Sheehan to win the game 3-1.

"The referee didn't help, but we dug deep and got the three points," said Killa.

"It was a bit disappointing when we went down to 10 men, but we've got big hearts, a good squad and we got the points.

"We played football when we could and at times we had to play it longer than we wanted.

"We want to keep winning and getting the points. Everyone will be looking at us and because we are the big club in this division."

Killa got off the mark in unusual fashion when Swindon goalkeeper Phil Smith fumbled his free-kick and spilled the ball over his own line.

"I had a shot and he made a mistake," said Killa. "Strikers score a lot of tap-ins so why can't I have that?

"Last season I scored one for Leeds and five or six in total so hopefully I can get more that this season."

Free-scoring United now head to Carlisle on Saturday to return to the scene of last season's Play-Off heroics.

"There were great scenes there last season," added Killa. "Hopefully we can carry on there again this season."
