Leeds United manager Neil Warnock named an unchanged side for the trip to Ewood Park to face Blackburn Rovers.

The early pressure and the first chance of the game fell United's way with Grant Hanley blocking an effort from RossSteve Morison vs Blackburn McCormack after making room for himself in the Blackburn penalty area.

The United pressure continued when Tom Lees connected with a corner only for Jake Kean in the Blackburn goal to pull off a fine save.

After the early United flurry Blackburn looked to mount a couple of raids, but it was United who had the next attempt on goal when Luke Varney shot from distance but it went wide.

With the half-hour mark approaching the home side carved out their first meaningful chance when Paddy Kenny saved well when Colin Kazim-Richards had a strike at goal.

The home side's goal was under threat once again when United attacked in numbers on 30 minutes, all that was missing was the final killer ball and finish.

United enjoyed the better of the first half, creating the greater opportunites and also looking solid and strong when the hosts came forward.

Ross McCormackMinutes into the second half United could have taken the lead. Good work from Varney and Steve Morison created an opening for McCormack to strike but he shot into the side netting.

On the hour mark Blackburn made an opening after a defensive mistake, and Jordan Rhodes placed his shot just wide of Kenny's post.

With 20 minutes remaining the game was wide open with both sides looking to attack at every opportunity.

The United midfield were terrific in denying Blackburn space and time but the game remained finely balanced going into the final 10 minutes.

United's next attempt on goal came when Varney's effort was saved and held by Kean. And the forward was denied once again by Kean minutes later after more great build-up play by United.

Kenny thwarted Blackburn's advances when Rhodes shot after turning and shooting from the edge of the United area and the Blackburn man headed over moments later as the hosts pushed for a winner.

Both sides pushed late on in injury time but to no avail with the game ending goalless at Ewood Park.
